Or to modify existing ones to customize them. But usually you had to get under the hood in the Editor to manually edit new preset effects. And we had some preset randomization and mutation or morphing features (way more inside of MSG). But you had to build those scripts manually. You could always build scripts of individual actions (manual or automatic). You can run intelligent automatic actions that can do some (or all) of that push the bits around work for you (if you would like that). You can work at the lowest level, literally pushing bits around with an interactive stylus (or the mouse). And always trying to keep the artist in the loop (if they want to be), no matter what level you are working at.Īnd i think levels of abstraction when approaching your work is a great analogy to what we're delivering and where we're headed. Without losing any of the old features (manual and/or automatic).
That new direction is AI Generative Art to the max. We have staked out a major new direction for the growth and future development of the application in the future, so we're not only very excited by that, but even more excited about where we know it's heading. So it's way more than just a 'movie file support is back now' kind of release. I think our initial expectations were that it would have been done by now (my apologies), but our initial expectations of the feature set that would be in it was way way lower than what ended up happening.
Normally i don't even bother answering questions like this with anything other than 'we don't talk about release dates, we release when it's done, and we'll let you know then'. Then we will let everyone know it's available, both here and via email and on. We are working to do the final polishing of Studio Artist V5.5, so please bear with us as we make sure everything is clean and shiny.
